Confirmed sitter - "Currently not active"?

I’m sorry. I should have elaborated further. Customer Support assisted immediately to help get our listing live again without the appearance of us cancelling the sit. The support agent that I spoke with was forthcoming with info once I approached THS. That part is somewhat reassuring. I just don’t get why we weren’t notified immediately that the sitter was suspended - @Ben-ProductManager . The Owner should not have to discover this fact accidentally. I wonder how many other owners who confirmed with this sitter have not been notified?

Somehow it was good that you did not have other contact information of this sitter. Because then you would not have contacted THS.

@pietkuip …agree with you. Never thought of it that way. This points to the fact that THS should be promptly and proactively notifying owners that a confirmed sitter has been suspended.

Interesting to hear of a sitter being suspended.
and that the reason given was booking of overlapping dates .

I assume that this suspension of a sitter is because of a genuine reason ( neglect or abandonment of pets caused by overlapping dates of sits ) and not a technical overlap of dates . As overlapping dates is not in itself prohibited by THS , although several sitters on this forum have been reporting receiving e-mails from THS for overlapping dates - when in fact the sits / care of pets did not overlap .

Can the host adjust the dates particularly since there is no pet involved initially?

I wanted to make sure that you got a follow-up regarding your post.

Thank you for raising this, I have liaised with the Membership Services team and they have clarified the details further. I do not want to go into too much detail on a public post, but I can confirm that as the sitter’s suspension had just happened (I believe the day before you reached out), the team were helping owners who had immediate dates booked with that sitter and you were next on the list to assist for your November dates.
