Been wondering this for a while now but I keep getting new messages for new sits coming in my mail and if I click them straigght. away there are nearly always already between 2-4 applicants. This has had me wondering for a time whether there is a hyatt in the amount of time between when ordinary members get the messages in comparison to the premium. So do premium members get the new ads before the ordinary non-extra paying members??
According to the membership plans as described by THS there shouldn’t be a delay between standard and premium members.
But (of course) there is a delay from host publish dates and to the notification arrives. For very attractive locations/listings - there could be thousands of sitters interested, and some are just scrolling the location on the site when the listing is updated. I’ve applied to such sits myself, and after a couple of minutes I get a notification for the sit I’ve just applied for.
@Maggie there’s no difference- THS sends the notifications out hourly not immediately.
Anyone who happens to do a manual search of that area just after the time that the host published dates will be fortunate enough to see the listing in minutes the ( up to 60 mins ) before notifications are sent out .
@Silversitters @Garfield Thanks for the explanation. Indeed it’s the difference between the placement of the ads by the HO and the notification moments. So better to keep doing own searches instead of waiting for notifications Thanks !
