Difficult situation, advice needed!

Yes, she was gracious about it, and accepted my offer of a lift to the train station! It was an exceptional situation for both of us really.

I actually did share the details of my travel plans, including that it was a family holiday for my Dad’s 80th. And yes…now I understand that THS insurance would have covered this situation, as the sitter did have premium membership. Hindsite is a wonderful thing! :sweat_smile:

@Loobyloo, seems good learning. Most experienced housesitters and pet parents on THS Forum have endured similar learnings. Challenging situations force lessons! While not seemingly currently applicable, you may wish to read the policy terms of THS Sit Cancellation Insurance. There are coverage quirks - e.g. had you cancelled then THS coverage would have been denied if there were available housesits within 30km from pet parent location. It would be wonderful if THS upgraded terms of its THS Sit Cancellation insurance but that topic is well covered in other threads.
