I have a bunch of favorites and rely on them to get the most desirable sits. My account is grandfathered in from the good old days pre recent changes - 3 tiers, 5 app limit etc.
I have LOTS of favourites.
Can anyone tell me:
1- Does the basic tier still get alerts for favorites?
2-Is there a limit on how many you can have now?
My friend isnt getting those alerts, but she is a newer member. So wondering if its a tech/settings issue or a new basic membership restriction.
I am a basic member and I have been getting alerts for sits in my ‘favorites’. As far as I know there isn’t any limit, but it would be difficult to tell, unless someone is very closely monitoring all the locations in which these sits are located . Basic members are limited in ‘saved searches’ however…you can only get three.
Hello, I am basic member and I receive alerts for my favorites but I am not sure to get instant alerts as sometimes when I open immediately the petowner’s list there are already 3 applicants or the list is reviewing applications.
Hi @Solela
I am also a basic member and receive alerts for my favourites.
They are not instant, there is a delay of maybe an hour.
As you say, many are already reviewing applications when you receive the alert
When we did an experiment (a year ago or so), the delay of push notifications for favourites was about seven or ten minutes. I did the test with Basic membership, but I think it is the same for everybody.
I think when tiered membership came in we were labelled as some other category, something like Loyalty. Ironically, I think it gives us less features than Basic, but I’m not sure on that. If a Basic sitter can check their account and see if it actually shows as Basic that would help clarify that.
I currently have notifications off as I haven’t been doing sits so I’m no help with your notifications question.
@Jenny can you check and see if there’s a difference in features between these two lower-level categories please? I’m sure other long-time members would like to know the answer.
I guess that there may be a difference from one person to another which would explain why there are already applications when I open my favorite list. Or would it depend on the device ?
We are indeed lower than a basic sitter.
My biggest gripe is that we only have access to the vet helpline on the telephone (not good to the UK from Ecuador) not via chat like everyone else.
I don’t mind them penalising me for sticking with my original membership, but I do object to them penalising the pets under my care
