Do you wait for HOs who say they still have more people to "interview"?

I just want to know if there’s any success in these kind of situation?

If I really want the sit, I do wait. And yes, I have been offered sits after the wait and some of them were wonderful. Others said no to me, but that was OK too. Waiting is definitely worth it in my view.

I wait….if they get 5 applicants they think worthy, why wouldnt they interview one or all…..if I were a home owner/pet owner I would do the same.

yes, but not for more than 3 days, unless it is a sit that I really really want.

Yup, I’m in no rush and if that’s what the HO prefers to do then it’s fine with me.

Please, as a host I’m not “interviewing” people (those who are responding to my listing are not “applying for a job”). I’m arranging to talk to them and see whether we are a good match. I might appear to be quibbling over semantics. But I actually believe it matters

Good point, I certainly see it as a chat rather than anything formal.

This is the quote from the the HO, notice I used “ “ ?

Glad I saw this before it was moderated. Hilarious and hadn’t heard it before.

Jeez the censorship here is getting out of hand. I tried to post that I liked to have a video call just to make sure that the HO isn’t a barmpot, but guess what? It was edited.

Crazy censorship.

Yes I agree, the censorship here is extreme.

Come on moderators. Have a sense of humour. There was nothing offensive in the post. We’re all adults

I would wait although thinking back it does feel more like a chat , getting a sense of each others and HO have always confirmed booking by end of call.

@anon52083843 I had to google barmpot, that’s a new one for me. I’m going to start using it. I love when I learn new words on here.

Every day is a school day as they say. I love the challenge of trying to outwit moderators and bots that censor posts. I think barmpot is Scottish.

it is. but bampot, no R

Thanks. I checked it out, seems barmpot is northern English, tha knows.

I know Northern England have BARM CAKES, which I believe is a filled roll
