Not on the community forum a whole lot, but I’m interested to know how many others got an email from THS asking us to participate in a ‘why did you leave THS’ Google video meeting and offering a $65 gift card to retailer of my choice??
I am a paid premium member until 2027 with sitters booked for January.
Went into their AI (grrr…) chat window and it wasn’t much help.
Email appears legitimate and AI chat indicated there was such an email.
Just curious.

Sorry about this. Based on what you’ve described, I have confirmed that it is a legimate email from TrustedHousesitters, however as your account runs into 2027, it sounds like it was sent to you in error.
Apologies for any confusion.
Thanks,
Mark.
Hi, I also received an email asking me to participate in a meeting/survey. My premium membership is also active until mid-year in 2027. Honestly, I am waiting for an invite from a previous homeowner, and I was very concerned at the thought that my membership had been cancelled without my knowledge. I agree with the previous poster that the email appears legitimate, and I wanted to make people aware that more than one member received this email in error.
Hi @Writer ,
Welcome to the Forum and we appreciate this feedback.
This is strange. I wonder if there a concerns about the number of sitters leaving?
My membership is due for renewal soon and I’ve turned off auto-renew. When I switched off I saw a discount to renew, emailed support to request transferring discount to premium but never received a reply. Will not pay booking fees would rather sit off platform.
Wonder if I’ll get the email ![]()
@SyleaAplonis, it would seem ironic if you highlighting gift card offer motivates other current THS customers to disable auto-renew of their membership with hope to receive a similar offer. ![]()
Haha, they would be better to offer discounted premium membership if they are losing customers. We have only our 3rd long stay happening and got same sitters as last year, which is wonderful. The Premium membership is still cheaper for us than hiring a paid sitter.
…wait, so, they don’t respond to large numbers of membership asking for particular features or improvements or changes to unpopular policies * cough booking fees *, but they’re pursuing individual members who don’t renew, asking for video meetings…???

Oh kay den…
Oh wait. I’ve got the email. Hope I get selected for the video interview/chat. Be nice to talk to a person & not a bot
Is your membership due to expire soon?
Apologies, just seen your membership is due to expire.
Geez, these days, how can you be sure?? ![]()
So they’re only selecting some of the people who respond to the e-mail?
Do let us know how it goes – I’m sure we will be entertained ![]()
I guess they need the booking fees to pay for the vouchers to discover why some members are not renewing.
Seems to be going full circle.
I’ll do my best
It doesn’t take all this work to understand that the most experienced sitters and folks who need sitters are leaving because of the new pricing. For me, it’s not a price increase but how they are implementing it penalizing all of us who use it more.
I didn’t get selected for the interview. I wonder why ![]()
Ah, too bad. But this seems even dumber to me – asking members for a video interview and then basically reneging. I may misunderstand the process, but it all seems like rather a waste of someone’s time to set up these e-mails and “maybe” do some video meetings.
What the heck y’all up to, THS?
