Thank you  :heartbeat:

I absolutely LOVE hearing travel stories like that. When my husband and I were in Dubrovnik we were coming from the island of Lopud and had left our passports at our lodging there. We realized this when we got to our accommodation in Dubrovnik a little Bnb run by a local and he messaged his friend that worked at the hotel we had stayed at and they brought us our passports by the next morning. They wouldn’t accept any form of payment or gift but it was such a kindness - it’s travel moments like these that completely restores my faith in humanity.

100% @Kelly-Moderator

When in Dubrovnik, be sure to take a bus to the east side of town (the "other Dubrovnik) and visit The Red Museum.

A wonderfully done museum of how life felt like under the communist regime of Yugoslavia, and why it all ended in the flames of the Homeland War. Then grab a beer around the corner at the Dubrovnik Beer Company.

I just can’t wait to check out Croatia. We have been watching a great deal of Youtube lately with videos of places we want to visit. This is definitely reaching the top of our list. I never in a million years thought it was as beautiful as it is. The same for Portugal…we went last year and I was in awe.

We’ve visited this country twice, and enjoyed both trips. Back in 2012, then again this past summer. We would definitely go back for an extended stay. Toured an olive farm where they still use a horse and stone wheel to crush the olives, and it’s some of the most delicious

olive oil anywhere!!!

Great pics. Any particular areas you would suggest not be missed?

The vineyards, oyster beds and olive farms were our favorites…and then enjoying a meal with a taste of each….it’s really all about the food @Debbie-Moderator
