First time THS user- not happy with Sit

It was my first time using THS. I did prepare the notes confirming ALL that was discussed FACE TO FACE (Not zoom) and what she AGREED to. So I remain very shocked at sits claims. To me, it is a deflection of leaving my dog until 1 am and refusing to send any photos. Again- after agreeing to 1 photo in a.m. and 1 in pm. Etc etc etc.

There was no “medication” it was dry eyes drops - like what we all use. I clearly said its not life threatening so dont worry about it. She said ok, she would love to do it. I said “dont stress yourself, its not important” so I am shocked at what she wrote. Please know I met with sit Face to face and discussed everything and she agreed and I put it in writing. But once I left and sit began…NOTHING was followed. Leaving my dog from noon to 1 am is frankly, inexcusable. My question on THS Vetting … I am referring to when people say they are certified veterinarians, VA’s etc. Saying you are a VA but not being able to show your certification… is misleading …and fraudulent.

THS do not check any claims made by sitters or owners in their profiles.

It dies seem a little naive at best for a sitter to suggest that a frenchbulldog should be able to enjoy outside time without restrictions in a climate such as Bangkok’s. Squashed nose breeds of dog do struggle to breathe in the heat, even on a summer day in the UK. They can be excitable and don’t make things easier for themselves! Any walks would have to take place either very early or very late.

I was coming to say the same. As someone living in Bangkok area, I totally get the 6:30 walks for a frenchie, @Maluzi

It’s been crazy hot, even now when the rains have started! During your sit dates, late April- early May, the morning temperatures rised above 30°C around way beford 7 am, and even then the “real feel” was 34-38°C because of the humidity. Daytime temps were 36°-38°C, with real feel of 43°-48°C. We have a thai dog, who doesn’t normally mind hot weather, but that was too hot even for her.

It sounds like you would like a sitter who is extremely responsible and conscientious.

The best way to get what YOU WANT is to create a Welcome Guide which details your wishes, and send the Welcome Guide to your confirmed Sitter just after you have confirmed the Sit. Tell the confirmed Sitter that if they have any issues with the instructions in the Welcome Guide, they should cancel promptly so that you can find another Sitter.

All of us need to find the right matches. It seems that your Sitter was not the right match, and I am not really sure who to blame.
