Happy accidents!

I hadn’t planned to renew my membership in June, I’ve recently bought a campervan and am hoping to get a dog myself soon, so didn’t see much use for it. However, as things so often do, time got away from me and it automatically renewed.

Anyway, I cut my losses, with 6 weeks travelling the west coast of France on the horizon - I browsed sits that might be of interest, and I’ve ended up doing two absolutely gorgeous sits in France. Both in rural locations that I would never want to live in, with lifestyles that I wouldn’t want long-term, but having a taste of them has been wonderful. (Including the more pear shaped moments such as dogs rolling in mud, dead mice in my clean laundry pile that when things are going well, just seem really funny). It’s reminded me that I love house-sitting and I hope that I can carry on doing one-off sits that are exactly what I’m looking for.

Obviously having a good track record on UK sits helped me get selected, but I am so glad that my membership renewed. I probably won’t do anymore whilst I am in France as am driving around the Pyrenees.

Anyway, things to be grateful for!

How long are you traveling in France? We’re in the Pyrenees (Ariège) and might both need to go away for a few days around Sept 30. See link in my bio.

I’ll be back to real life in the UK by then sadly

Lovely to see a positive upbeat message here! Wonderful travels it sounds - it’s rather what THS is about, I feel. Bon voyage!
