My name is Mónica and I am from Spain, Valladolid.
This is the first time that I am here and I am very excited.
I didn’t know that this exists.
We have two adorable labrador dogs, mother and daughter, whom we really adore.
I am a bit nervous and afraid of this experience because this is new for me.
Can anybody help me, please?
I am sure that sitters are going to be good to my two girls, but I am a bit unsecured because it is a new experience.
Thank you for your help and for understanding me.
And thank you for being there and being a community so beautiful and loving animals. It is lovely.
Big love
Mónica
Please know that your apprehension is normal, but I’m sure it will be short lived. You’ll quickly see what a wonderful community of house and pet sitters we have.
I would also like to suggest that you add your listing link to your forum profile here, so other members will be able to “meet” you and your 2 gorgeous labbies.
If you go to your Dashboard on the TrustedHousesitters site, scroll to your dashboard, listing block, preview and with that link, copy and paste to your forum profile here.
Welcome, also to your two Labradors. It’s understandable that you would be a little nervous at first. But when you talk to potential sitters, just trust your instincts. You’ll find the right person(s) and it’ll just feel right. Good luck to you!
Welcome Mònica. My name is Salome and I’m originally from Valencia but based near London. I’m doing my first sitting next week. I think it’s normal to be a bit nervous but everyone is doing their best. The pet owners who have selected me always ask to speak on the phone or pop into their home if they are local. I think it helps to create the trust needed for this. Good luck!
Hi Monica,
We were a bit nervous also before our first time having strangers house and pet sit for us, especially because we were going away for three weeks. However, friends of ours, who joined THS were so happy with it, that we were eager to try it ourselves. You can read reviews of previous sitters and that is reassuring. I also recommend talking with your housesitter at least once before your trip. This is a wonderful place with helpful and friendly folks! People are happy to answer questions. Welcome!
