Please help me. The remote control has disappeared. I think it’s been eaten by the sofa. I was thinking of getting a replacement from Amazon. It’s a smart tv. All singing and dancing. Does anyone recommend a brand/type? I’m not very good with technology. How does the remote match to the tv? Thanks in advance
Ask the homeowners which remote they use. Could be a Roku remote, a Fire Stick, etc. etc. So you don’t want to buy before knowing exactly what to get!

Good heavens! I would have a thorough search and, if no luck, then tell the owners what’s happened and that you wish to replace it. They should know which one

Give yourself some time to find it. It has to be there somewhere. Maybe you had it in your hand and got distracted. Don’t panic and if the homeowners aren’t coming home tomorrow, sleep on it.

When did you last see it? Where where you heading? Maybe you both wandered off in that direction?
I’ve also had a dog once that loved the remote. So that could be an option. Somewhere with bitemarks - or mention the disappereance for the host and they might mention it…

HOLD ON!!! If it’s a sofa where the leg rests come up, you may be lucky! Because we’ve been there, done that! We put one of the leg rests up & got at it by crawling.

Happened to a friend.
They kept dragging the sofa out to see if it was on the floor but it was actually lying on the frame of the sofa, so everytime they dragged the sofa out, the remote was going with it.
It cant be far.
I’ve looked. That’s one of the first places I looked. They have a reclining seat sofa so my guess is that it might be eaten by the sofa forever
I lost one of my remotes a few years back so ordered a replacement from Amazon. I found the original in a purse when I was doing a seasonal switch. It must have slipped in. Meh

I recently put ours in the front pocket of my hoodie, then hung the hoodie in the closet. Have you checked jacket pockets etc? But yeah, recliners do eat remotes.
I’m sure it will turn up. I’ve checked everywhere

Check the TV or box it may have a “find” button if the remote batteries work it’ll beep…
