Its taken me time to learn this. but I have been fortunate to have all good sitter so far. i now understand how to “read between the lines” which I an art form on THS.

The problem is-many sitters might join THS from a lifetime of animal care, may have owned a home much better than yours, lived more luxurious lives than you can imagine…. and yet be giving THS a whirl in retirement and be a 1st time sitter. As sitters we are willing to sit for new HOs, and are able to determine if we might be a match. It’s not rocket science.

I wasn’t aware that it is against the rules for guests to go to the pool without the owner.
I did a sitting where I had free access to the outdoor swimming pool without any problem 
@Mokina It would depend upon the rules of the complex or HOA.

Our poor sitter has 17 5 star reviews and there’s nothing suggested that she’s anything less.

I read every comment made by homeowners (unless they have 50 reviews, maybe ill read 30). I assume you did that? I now am a professional “miner” of info. and secret language on the platform
