Internet Speed Test amenity

Right now HomeOwners can specify “high speed” as internet connection, but what is high speed for one isn’t the same as for the other. As someone who needs to work from the houses I sit at I would like to know the speed the internet is. Is it fibre 1gbs or is it dsl 30mbs? There’s a big difference, yet most people would put both in the high-speed category.

Airbnb has an option for hosts to do a speedtest with the app, and then list that result, I would love THS to have a feature like that.

I work from home as welI. You can ask the owners for a speed test (speedtest.net)

Doubt they’ll create such a feature, because it’s not a big deal for most people, even many telecommuters. Like if you can stream Netflix, then you can Zoom or such. That’s enough for many folks.

If you need better, you’ll probably continue to need to ask specifically.

On my sitter profile and applications, I note that I need high-speed internet. When hosts see that, they raise the subject with me. Like they tell me their speeds.

One set of U.K. hosts changed their internet service before our sit, so I could telecommute. I’ve since repeat-sat for them.
