@Mark_B how is feedback being gathered ?
The first 20 searches I tried gave no result.
They were very simple searches .
Does THS really want feedback on this or are they rolling it out regardless ?

I tried search variations of “Only show sits with both cats AND horses”
Doesn’t work.
I tried their search terms, top button. Made no other changes, just their words. ‘Sits in Europe minus UK’, and the first 6 were UK??? So I’ll let them iron the bugs out and tell me when its ready. Because atm it is not particularly helpful.
Why am I so unwilling to put time in to give feedback? Because, I’ve given loads previously about other ‘features’ and been ignored. But sending positive thoughts. If it works it will be fabulous.
I tried “South east Asia from August 2026 onwards” and it gave me loads of USA sits only? #bugs
I can’t leave feedback when I try to use the form in the app. Instead of using my THS account it defaults to my Google account used on my Android phone and I can’t enter my THS account email address. This is spectacularly dumb and hasn’t been thought through and tested. Sending feedback is essential for Beta testing and THS has screwed this up. I want to be able to use the same email address that I use for my THS log in so I can be contacted and my attempted smart searches can be linked to my account for a better understanding.
I tried searching using this term “Sits in England 7 days plus cockapoo”. Results included 2 day sits with cats.
It’s a fail from me.
My search “Sits in Tasmania with no more than 1 cat and no dogs” gave me sits with 3 cats. I’ll wait until it’s no longer in beta mode, hopefully it will learn how to count.
Beta versions usually have problems to iron out, but this feature seems to have been pushed out without even a couple of minutes of testing, which is substandard in tech.

It’s obvious that THS don’t really want any feedback .
Which is a missed opportunity because this function correctly tested could have provided the solution that many members have been asking for .
Another annoying addition that doesn’t work and highly likely never will talking from experience
I just want to know HOW TO GET RID OF IT if I don’t want to use it?
It takes up half my phone screen everytime I log in
Please focus on the issues I’ve been having for months and that still haven’t been fixed instead of adding more frustration
THS seems to have released a very poorly internally tested version, apart from the examples given it seems to have little useful functionality.

I disagree, it has added to my frustration. 
All you need to do is to add countries/more options to the filter
I understand the concept of beta testing. However when one of the given examples is ineffective, it shows incompetence. They certainly released it too soon. The ‘1 dog’ example provides any sit with a minimum of one dog, rather than only one dog. The search results showed listings with multiple animals of various kinds. The search option of All Pets already accomplishes that. At this stage it’s a waste of screen space.
I’ve been carrying out further testing and the results aren’t good.
Here;s an extract from the article on the THS website that announced Search+.
“Search Plus uses AI to help interpret what you type so it can show you relevant results. In this first version, it works by translating your search into the filters and information we already have about the listing, to help you find house sits more easily.”
This fails spectacularly, the AI agent used doesn’t interpret my input properly and show relevant results. It’s garbage.
The AI agent should be able to search all the listings and find words and phrases used in natural language that produce relevant results. It fails this completely and utterly. For example, find rural sits in the UK in August with no more than 2 dogs. When I attempted this search almost every result retuned didn’t match my criteria e.g sits in June, sits in urban areas, more than 2 dogs.
I tried ‘cat sits in London’ and got sits for cats and dogs all over the UK. It seems all listings included a cat, but many also include dogs. I even tried entering cat only sits and still got sits with dogs.
Based on this thread it doesn’t appear the search plus is ready for beta testing yet.
