We may explain the listing suggested by ths is nit relecant if ( it’s an example) you ask for 1 dog maximum and the listing says 3 dogs ( a cat when you did not seek cats…)
We’ve been listening to your feedback and keeping a close eye on how Search Plus is performing, and we want to share a roundup of what’s improved recently.
We’ve used the data collected so far to refine how Search Plus understands what you’re looking for. In practice, that means more relevant results for your searches. We’re still in a testing phase so the occasional anomaly may crop up, but these should be noticeably less.
More logical search results
When you search for a place, we now prioritise the most popular destinations first. That means a search for “Spain” will pull up the country you’re looking for, rather than a smaller town or city with a similar name.
Fewer ‘zero-result’ searches
We’ve upgraded the brain behind our search bar. It’s now much better at translating your requests, meaning you won’t get stuck seeing an empty results page by mistake.
Available sits
We had a glitch at launch which meant that your search results accidentally included confirmed or closed applications, now you’ll only see available listings in your search results.
Searching by number of pets
We know this one didn’t land as expected when we launched, thank you for your patience. Searching by the number of pets should now work as intended, giving you more accurate results when you’re looking for sits with a specific number.
One thing worth noting, for pets like fish or chickens, we’ve made a deliberate decision not to count heads. So a search for “7 fish” will return results with any number of fish. For now, we think this gives you the best options.
We still have more to do, please keep sharing your feedback in the app and we’ll share more updates as we go. ![]()
Any feedback for searches for combinations of pets? I’d like to see only listings that include both cats AND horses
Thanks for the question.
I don’t have an update on pet combination searches just yet, but will continue to share news about enhancements as we move forward.
In the meantime, please do keep sharing feedback about Search Plus directly through the app. ![]()
