It’s possible to Favourite a sit. But is it possible to “unfavourite” or block a sit?
I have an alert for upcoming sits in a particular location and date. Every day I get an alert for “new sits”, but it’s the same places that I’ve already determined are not suitable for various reasons.
I’d love the ability to block these out from the search, so I’m not continually scanning the same list of sits each time.
A way to stop sits reappearing in your searches if you’ve already decided they’re not compatible would be a great feature. I’ll have a search on and get a notification about new sits… and it’s just sits I’ve already seen and don’t work for me.
Also it would good if you could have a search option for the number of pets. For example 1 dog is fine for some of us solo sitters, but from experience 2 is too much work for me. However there’s no way to search for this.
Oh I see what you mean, you want to block a LISTING that you keep seeing! That’s not possible, no, but for anyone that might be confused by the question, this is an option for deleting favourites and saved searches.
You can delete your saved searches. I have found doing it on the app is hit and miss but doing it through the desktop site is simple.
To cancel/delete your “favourites” you simply go into favourites at the bottom of the search page and untick the heart at the top right hand corner of the listing picture. That will remove that favourite sit altogether.
I have made that suggestion several times in past years on the forum. To have a feature that eliminates a listing from my search or that shows some kind of flag/icon that I have decided that is one I would never apply for. Like where the heart is, there could be a circle with a line through it showing that I’ve read it and don’t need to open it again in the future.
That is not the problem here. When you have a saved search in a specific area and a sit with 10 dogs pop in again and again it would be nice to dislike the listing… sure you can remove listings from favorites.
I agree. It would be nice to have “tags” so that Sitters can mark unsuitable Sits with the “tag.”
Idea for THS: perhaps add another label similar to the heart? Maybe it could be “thumbs down”? Sitters can click on the “thumbs down” to mark it as unsuitable for themselves?
