Thanks very much, Tom! That’s all very helpful to know. Appreciate your photos as well.
I plan to revisit Korea at some point — not sure whether I’d sit or just do my own thing. Had a great time many moons ago all over Korea. Jeju as I remember at the time — late fall — was cold and windy, and I think the major feature was a golf resort, where we stayed.
I’m with you, I’m not likely to visit Hello Kitty’s amusement park. I didn’t visit Lotte World in Seoul, either, back in the day, but remember it as impressive. It was the central feature of a huge mall, many years before the Mall of America opened to fanfare in the U.S.
I had, in both countries. In fact, thinking about it now, it was very easy and I wasn´t even all that interested (thus no luck needed )… but it was before the 5-limit rule
I’m afraid the only way to give luck a hand is to be proactive, either by utilizing browser automation or by manually refreshing the browser until something pops up.
As others have mentioned, there are quite a few international schools, especially in Korea. During Christmas and summer holidays, pretty much all teachers go home. In addition, they have shorter school breaks when many visit neighboring countries. (Not to mention the doubling of pet ownership in recent years)
p.s. so If you are in an utterly desperate situation and cannot contact hosts through the platform, you can always contact schools directly. You can also check expat FB groups
Thanks for sharing your experience and insight ! Unfortunately i still don’t get any notifications nor emails on both the website and app. I have raised this issue with one of the moderators and asking if the THS technician can look into this issue.
Thanks for letting me know! What do you think of new sits that’s not advertised and with no dates, but it is labelled as “new”? Would the host be inviting sitters privately?
