With all the requirements for HO’s to fill in, it baffles me that dog breed is not mandatory. Sure some mention it in the listing and some are obvious from photos but some are not. Saw a listing today with multiple dogs, looked like pit type dogs to me, but I might be wrong. Surely it would be simple to add the breed to the age section? Or am I missing something, I only use the app?

I agree especially as certain breeds have particular care requirements. I’m think dachounds and how to carry them, and spaniels requiring ear mouth and eye care etc

@Mark_B maybe this is something that could be added to the requirements for HO’s. Really can’t believe it’s not there already.

I’ve asked for this feature to be included, so that I can see from the start the type of dog (s) and decide if the sit might be one I’d like to apply for.

I think one of the issues is that when identifying mixed breed dogs has been studied, it showed that only 25 to 33% of the time are people correct with at least one of the main breeds of a mixed dog, as shown by DNA analysis. I’m not against it being asked for and in fact, I do let people know what I believe my dog is. However, i think it’s something to be aware of.
