How do I search for a sitter according to where they want to go for a sit rather than where they are normally based?
You can’t, but some sitters change their home location to the place where they ‘want’ to sit, to help get around the problem. We haven’t done that as yet, but I will be using it when the time is right.

If you are trying to find a sitter for particular dates, the best way to do this is to post the dates so that sitters interested in a sit in your area can apply. Sitters who can’t do the dates or missed the application (because it went into review) might favor your listing, but won’t be able to reach you though the email system unless you post dates or send them a private invitation.
Even if you could find sitters interested in sitting in your area, they might not be able to do your dates, so posting will save you a lot of time and frustration.
