More than 800 people have died and hundreds more are injured after a 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck in Morocco. The number of dead is expected to rise as rescuers dig through rubble and attempt to reach remote villages.
At this time our thoughts are with the families, victims, first responders and all those affected by the devastating earthquake in Morocco

Terrible news. Animal wise, there are so many stray cats there, fed on strangers’ kindness. Hope they’re not being overlooked during the recovery.
One of my memories from Essaouira: I saw a man walking, carrying a bag of fish across a market square. A cat randomly approached him and sniffed the bag and the man reached in and gave him a fish. So sweet.
Cats there were often so well taken care of that they had no fear of strangers. Like these cats slept comfortably in the open, in tight alleys where we nearly brushed up against them, and yet they paid no mind.

Terrible @Samox24 - we were there sitting this time last year in Essaouira. Have checked in and the host is fine and so are our friends in Marrakech, Fes & Rabat but it will be seriously tough no question. We had the same at home in Turkey
in Feb and as everyone knows, the impact was monumental…
