Moving to new Home, Will I Lose all my Reviews?

Title says it all–I haven’t seen this topic anywhere. Of course I will update my photos and description when I move in June, but what happens to all my reviews? Am I starting over by moving?

Hi @Kathryn7,

Your reviews will remain visible. We can confirm this because two HO of our previous sits have moved to new homes, and all past reviews (including) ours are still displayed.

We also, have applied to sits with many reviews and noticed that the older ones refer to a different location. For example, in one case, the site was an isolated property in a mountain area, but the reviews mentioned pubs and nightlife making evident they were referring to a different property. We interpreted this as genuine and believed that the older reviews most likely referred to the pet parent’s former residence.

Reviews will stay with your profile but it’s a good idea to mention in your listing, if the reviews refer to specific things that are not relevant to the current place: ‘just to say that reviews prior to June 2025 were from a previous property’.

I find it confusing and off putting if the reviews are clearly of a different place but the HO hasn’t bothered to clarify.

This would be the ideal solution to the example I mentioned. Avoiding sitters’ free interpretation and making the system more transparent. Great comment, @Bjane

Nope. But here’s a funny quirk in the system: When you change location as a homeowner, your previous reviews of sitters change location as well. This is a bit frustratiing for sitters! It’s come up a few times on the forum. It’s one of those that THS is not going to change. So for clarity’s sake, I’d recommend having a statement on your listing stating that you changed locations and many reviews reference your old location.

I find it off-putting that the system doesn’t automatically do this.
