Forgive us if this has been listed somewhere as we could not find it
We used to be able to see a button under the HO name in the messaging section that said “View listing” & “View Profile”. Is there a way now with the new messaging system that we, as sitters, can see a HO profile. To read bio, see their sitter reviews, airbnb link, etc. We can only access the HO listing and used to be able to enjoy reading a HO profile and reviews (if they sat as well). TIA!
The hosts of our last sit also have a sitter profile. When I look at our message thread on both the app and the computer, I am not seeing any link to view it either so I don’t think that is an option any longer.
@Colin that only takes us back to the main listing. We are trying to see the home owners profile (would be similar to ours with their background, availability, reviews etc).
Sorry, I misunderstood. To be honest I didn’t even know home hosts had a profile similar to sitters, isn’t that only when a home host has a duel host/sitter membership?
@Colin No problem. Before the new messaging system, when you went to your messages and clicked on a conversation, there would be two links under the HO name “View listing” and “View profile”. The view profile was awesome because you could see the HO profile, read a bio, see there reviews, etc. It was very nice because you could get a better understanding of them. (You are probably right that it is only when they are dual host/sitter). But one of our HO that we have been talking to has been sitting for THS for years…but we are unable to see her profile.
Yes, pity it’s not still linked. It could be time consuming based on how many other sitters are in their location but you can find their profile by searching for them under “find a pet sitter “ of course. One of our HO is also a sitter so I can quickly see their profile this way as there’s only a handful of sitters in their area.
