Yes, because the review is left for the homeowner it will appear on the HO’s profile, along with any response by the HO. If you want to find out more about previous sits you have to do a little digging and check reviews of both sides from both Profiles. And as I mentioned above, the web and app experience are different. Sits without reviews and missing reviews don’t always show up, so they are not a clear indicator of a bad sit.

That is not quite accurate. It is visible for members that do a little digging to see reviews/ comments both from host and sitter for the same sit, and many of us do this for every sit we consider applying to.
Please review them honestly for the sake of future HO. If you are concerned for your safety, you could always change your locks and you’ve already got external cameras.
If you don’t leave a review, the housesit won’t appear to readers on their profile. If they don’t leave you one, however, it will show up as a blank on yours. Once you leave them a review - which you definitely should - they’ll be notified.
If you have video of any of the things they did ( third party staying etc ) you can submit this to THS as your evidence to support the Member Dispute/ Complaint .

Please leave a review. You will be helping all potential HO’s looking at this person’s review. There is a possibility that previous HO’s have experienced similar atrocties without leaving reviews……and you paid the consequences !
This is NOT a blaming post . Simply a way of pointing out the necessity of truthful, factual and objective reviews. They go far in keeping all of us safer. Good luck on your THS claim and your continued relationship with your valued housekeeper !

Please dispute with THS about the condition they left the home in and obvious lack of care for pets plus violation of 3rd party rule. Please review listing stuff they did and didn’t do with no emotion or judgement. Just the facts. If they write a retailatory response and your tone is even they will out themselves. I disagree with advice to just knock off a star. These are serious issues including having a stranger in your home so 2 stars max!
Re “reprisals” not likely but if they make any threats or even contact you, call the police and look at having them served with a restraining order. Changing the locks is a very good idea.

Thank you. I am disputing this with TH as I feel they violated several rules: having someone else not authorized stay in the house, leaving a day early with no warning, and leaving the house in a filthy state.
We have had 10 wonderful sitters so this was our first bad experience.
We are going away in September, and we are interviewing TH sitters right now for that sit so we are still using THs.
If the sitter doesn’t get a review, future owners won’t know they have done that sit, how are they going to get to the owners’ profile?
I hope you leave a review. It doesn’t have to say exactly how awful it was. Just saying that they had unauthorized guest, they didn’t clean the litter box, and that they didn’t pick up after themselves. You can also reply to their review of you if it’s untrue what they end up saying.
It’s terrible that people would do this and still be allowed on the site.
