Ok. I'm curious. Where are forum members from?

Scottish lass here who now has a base in Bournemouth (south coast of England) and a static caravan on an airfield in Hampshire. Hubby is a glider pilot. He’s from Salisbury, England but I don’t hold that against him.

Scarborough, Queensland (beautiful one day, perfect the next!) Australia :australia:

Scarborough UK is usually rain one day windy the next sometimes sun:laughing:

I know @Sarah22 I visited Scarborough UK when we did a 2 week sit at Whitby in March 2023. The daffodils were out in the spring sunshine but it was stillfreeeezing for this Queenslander! I really loved being in Yorkshire, so many pretty coastal villages.

Dutch couple, living remote, between the rice paddies of northern Thailand. Great place to sit if you like something different :upside_down_face:

I’m an immigrant who’s moved over and over in the U.S. and abroad, so I’m not really “from” somewhere like folks with roots. And I grew up between cultures.

Currently living in the U.S. Pacific Northwest for the fourth time, and my husband and I decided this move within a couple minutes, during a phone conversation. We’re mobile that way.

From the US. But have been traveling full-time for the last 14 1/2 years. Last place we had a home in the US was in Atlanta, Georgia.

:brazil: JOÃO PESSOA, PARAÍBA, BRAZIL! :brazil:

The easternmost point of the Americas — where the sun rises first! :sun:

Do you miss Brighton? It was crazy today with all the tourists!

I’m a Brit, but accentless and people have no idea where I’m from. I once sang in public and was accused of being Australian.

From the prairies of Canada. We have been on the site as HOs, as pet sitters and as dual members. Now we are taking a little break from pet sitting and are on the site again as HOs only. Currently on a road trip to beautiful British Columbia.

No I don’t miss Brighton at all! It was a great place to grow up in but I have not lived there since Uni. When I visit now its far too busy and hectic for me. I can well imagine it’s heaving over this spectacular Bank Holiday weekend! I am super happy to be on a lovely sit in a picturesque village in West Sussex with 5 rescue hens and spectacular views from the deck- its heavenly!

I hear you. I loved where I spent many years as a child, but would never want to live there now and haven’t been back in 35+ years. Plus, I have no ties there, since my parents left decades ago.

The old saying was ‘party in Brighton but sleep in Hove’ we live in Hove

Hove ‘actually’ @BonnyinBrighton

Hi Sarah22, I’m also from God’s Own County  in Huddersfield.

Ahh another Yorkshire lass. Lovely countryside around Huddersfield, used to work there

I’m another sitter from Yorkshire originally (York) but have lived in Cheltenham since 1998. My sons are therefore born and bred in Gloucestershire, but the younger one has definitely inherited the Yorkshire genes!

Is he singing on “Ilkley moor bar t’at” with his flat hat on :rofl::rofl:

Let’s just say he is straight talking and has a firm grip on his wallet!
