Options for sharing 2-free-months link

This is probably a little weird and nitpicky request, but I would like a share link that does not include our name and profile pic.
I was going to share the link in a FB group, where someone was looking for a sitter, but it was a group for which I use a secondary ID that does not use my full real name or photo. The link says “____ has given you 25% off“ and “why ____ recommends Trusted Housesitters”. My photo is also there.
Call me overcautious, but there’s a lot of crazy out there and some people might just prefer not to have any personal info visible on a random internet site.
What are the chances of TH creating a link or a coupon code that could be shared without the personal info?

You can provide your referal code only, not your referral link and instruct the new member to enter that checkout.

Well dang, I didn’t see that, either on a little phone screen or a laptop. I looked in the URL of the link – is it the “RAF” 6-digit number??
That’s well hidden.

Yes @ABGM it’s the RAF 6-digit number.

May be wrong but i think if someone uses your Refer-A-Friend 6-digit code then referee see a THS screen that displays name of referring person.

Oh bummer. Could someone from THS confirm which of these possibilities is correct? @Jenny ?

I think the referral code was created primarily for members to share with friends and acquaintances ( I.e people you know and would be happy to recommend as hosts / sitters ) and not to share with random people you don’t know .

Of course there is nothing to stop you sharing with strangers (and THS don’t mind as long as they get more members) but as you have already identified sharing that information comes with it’s own risks .

Sharing the link does share your personal data.

I too see that as a problem, I must say. Really wish it wasn’t so, and it does make me more reluctant to share it.

Not because it is a «problem» as such that people know I’m a petsitter (I talk about it a lot) but because I’m mindful of not spreading my personal data more than necessary and also because the risk of «my worlds colliding» for those having seen the rant of George in Seinfeld on this..
