Hi there. I’m going to spend a week working in the city all day long and coming back only during the nights. I was wondering if it was possible to offer a house-sit so that my dog Coco is not alone the whole day. Of course I planned to explain this beforehand to the sitter. In my three years with THS I’ve met very friendly people and spent a great time sharing the house for a few hours, so I thought, why not make this proposal. So, is the owner considered a ‘third party’? Can I publish my dates for this or is it against the rules? Thank you for your replies and advice.
It’s against the rules.

It sounds like you need to source a local paid petsitter, rather than a housesitter

Welcome @cristinanunez
No you are not a third party -
however you must vacate for the duration of the stay so that’s overnight as well as day time .
“Once a sitter has begun their sit, we require that the pet parent(s) have vacated the property for the entirety of the stay ”

Advertise on a local FB house sitting page for someone to do that. Plenty of takers depending on where you are and what the responsibilities are @cristinanunez It’s not possible on THS as you’d need to leave for the full stay. #tryoutalocalsite
You could try ‘workaway’
