Very well said ElsieDownie and so true!
I am so sorry that I am guilty of such rudeness. I am a first time HO with THS, so was unsure how all this works and was overwhelmed. My sister passed away and I was struggling. Mea culpa. My add has disappeared and now after spending some time trying to learn how this all works I am trying to get back to business. I would so appreciate help knowing how do I proceed if you would be willing to direct me. Kalynn

Yea, it definitely sucks when someone doesn’t take the time to at least acknowledge a message. This has happened to me as a pet owner, although I’m sure not nearly as much as sitters. I always try to make sure I respond to messages in a timely and kind/welcoming manner. I make sure to thank them for reaching out and taking the time to draft a message. I’m at a point where if I don’t get a response within 3 days (which is generous) or have a message that’s been left on read for 24-48 hours, I’m declining (kindly and with a message of course). You just get to a point where if someone isn’t even willing to put their best foot forward during an introduction, it’s not worth continuing to similar (if not worse) communication during the sit.
