On our sitter profile the ‘Our Experience’ section is at the top. And the ‘About’ section is way down the bottom, after photos, reviews and references. The ‘About’ section should be the first section the HO reads. This is the introduction of who we are, where we’re from and our background. Anyone else find this backwards? It shouldn’t be a problem assuming HOs read everything on our profile, but this isn’t always the case.

THS purposely changed the order (to lead with experience), because they found that hosts cared about that more. When I joined two+ years ago, sitter bios led with “about,” but THS flipped that soon after.

Agree, it’s silly, so we put details about us in the our experience part, and then repeat in slightly different words in the about us bit too.

I think I will do the same. There are some important things in our ‘About Us’ section that some HOs don’t read

Do it, I don’t know about other sitters, but owners seem to remember a lot of details from our own profile, and I think that’s why. It’s simply because I’ve put things twice in the two sections, but worded a bit differently so it doesn’t look like I’m repeating myself.
Only you know how to ‘sell’ yourself in the best way.
I did the same. It made no sense otherwise.
