I know this is an older thread, but I wanted to add my support because I think a reply rating system (like the one Kiwi House Sitters uses) would make a big difference here on THS.

On Kiwi, I get a response to almost every application — probably 99% — and usually within a day or two. It’s not because every owner is available all the time, but because the system makes communication visible and valued. Owners are recognized for being responsive, and sitters are encouraged to reply promptly too. The result is far less ghosting, less wasted time, and a much smoother experience for everyone.

I think most sitters here would love that, but the truth is THS is unlikely to make this change unless owners ask for it. THS listens most closely to owners, and rightly so, since you drive the listings that make the platform possible. If you’re an owner and would like to see better communication from both sides, I’d encourage you to add your voice and contact THS directly. The more owners who request it, the more likely it will happen.
