Hi I thought reviews were hidden until both parties posted or after 14 days? I had posted a review and it appeared on the sitters page when I clicked submit. I only knew it got posted as they texted with a thumbs up and it’s now day 10/11 I don’t think I’ll be getting one in return.
Am I missing something about the review system?

You can see what you wrote but the other person won’t see it yet.
They may have been notified that you’ve submitted a review but they won’t be able to read it until they submit a review or 14 days have passed . This is the notification I get when a host leaves a review …
Edited to add the stars on the e-Mail - flash on and off so the four shown in the screenshot is not an indication of the stars awarded -( we were given 5 stars ) it’s just that the screenshot captured only 4 at that moment … so the sitter can’t see how many stars they have been given by the host until the review is published.
Thanks Silversitters but my review is definitely visible on their profile. I had checked in private mode on my browser and also just sent the sitters profile to my neighbour who is also a HO. They can see my review.
Well if they haven’t left you a review and it is less than 14 days since the sit ended …that shouldn’t happen !!

from the Help section- - ask to speak to a human ( otherwise you get a chatbot ) -
Please report back to the forum on their answer.
Also sent a polite nudge asking for a review and they now replied to my review on their page saying “Thanks” 
@lateykatey , are you sure they have not already reviewed you? if they did theirs first, yours would publish the moment you wrote it
@lateykatey are they new sitters? I would definitely write back saying you appreciate they like your review but also asking them to post their OWN review on your page. I’ve seen this before with new sitters and hosts that sometimes they reply to the review they’ve received, not realising that’s the place to say thank you for the review but not the place to post their OWN review! For new people it can all be confusing- the option to write a review, or to reply on a review and then the request from THS to review on Trust Pilot… 
Don’t give up- they could be genuinely unaware. I hope that’s the case but if they don’t plan to review you then you can’t make them (unfortunately) and it is very strange your review got posted before the 14 days was up…
