I’m guessing there is not the capability to filter searches out that are already in reviewing stage? It would be so useful to be able to only see homes that are still looking for sitters, rather than having to trawl through those already in reviewing stage.
But these homeowners are still looking for sitters. As soon as they confirm someone the sit will disappear but as long as they are still reviewing they haven’t found a sitter.
Sits in reviewing will go out of the feed, though I have noticed there can be a bit of a delay sometimes and it will still show up in active listings. I have seen this happen several times and I am guessing that if it is still showing up, it probably only very recently got the 5th application. But then when I check my similar searches again shortly after, the listing is gone.
Thanks for the reply. There are only five applicants allowed, but the listings still stay up once it’s hit that quota. My feed is made up of 98% ‘reviewing’ process already - so I’m unable to apply?
As long as the sit isn’t confirmed, the host is still looking for a sitter. Once the sit is confirmed, the sit is no longer listed. Additionally, when a host declines an applicant, the listing typically becomes active again.
Yes, as long as the homeowner doesn’t decline any applicant, the listing stays hidden, but it might open up again if the homeowner does.
To try this out, on the app, I looked at one of my most popular saved searches: Amsterdam. It had two listing, both not in review. In the past 24h, there has been several new listing to Amsterdam, and they dont show, as they are already in “reviewing applications”. Also when I make a search for Amsterdam, and then zoom to the city on the map (as the search gives me half of the Netherlands, eat sand THS search function), I get only those two sits.
So I wonder what is going on when you have this persistent problem.
Yes I have no idea! I can see mostly only places in reviewing stage, so it takes time to scroll through looking for the newer ones. Just would be helpful to have a drop down bar so as to easily navigate to those still accepting applications.
