Just be careful, ChristineB, there are some people who will never be pleased. It is not about you, it is about them. Be very selective. Don’t accept any Sits when the expectations seem unrealistic, or the Owner seems commandeering.
There are so many opportunities out there. The world is your oyster. Watch out for yourself!
You can never be wrong if you simply stick to black and white facts. Something like, “Be aware that trash disposal involves driving a few miles to a dump for which the owner has pre-paid.”
And “the cats were lovely, but one of the three has a habit of using his favorite chair as a litter box, which was pretty messy.”
Each of us owes it to future sitters to be accurate. I would NEVER expect a sitter to drive in order to dispose of garbage.
