Should I cancel my sitter

My confirmed sitter is not responding to requests for a call beofre the sit. I emailed her a week ago asking to chat but nothing. I have followed up with more messges to chat. Still nothing. I go away on the 21st July so am beginning to panic. Should I cancel and hope for the best or keep messaging her? I am not feeling very confident about the sitter now, to be honest. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Get in touch with membership services and have them contact the sitter for you. support@trustedhousesitters.com

Reach out to member services to see if they can contact her. For the future: have a call prior to confirming the sitter, and also exchange phone numbers at that time, which you do automatically if the call is via WA, as many are.

Has he/she read your messages or might they be somewhere without wifi access? If they have read your messages, tell them you’re giving them x days to respond or you’ll cancel. If they’re simply ignoring you it doesn’t bode well.

Ugh! I hate this culture of non-communication! I sympathise. I’d be very anxious too!

Hi there. She read my first one but the others are unread. THS are sending her a message too. I don’t want to annoy her, she may be poorly, but still concerning. Trouble is with less than 2 weeks to go it is a punt to relist and get someone else. Oh dear.

I’m a sitter. Cancel her. Immediately.

I would look for another sitter if I was you - that’s already a bad start in my opinion.
