Sits over Christmas?

That may depend on where a sitter is looking though @janestheone for their Christmas sit.

We are last minuters! We booked our lovely Christmas sit in KL only in November! The family only advertised it then and it went to reviewing very fast and we were chosen! We were actually invited for another sit (also in KL) back in September but were not ready to commit at a that point.
There are all sorts of sits and sitters! Just got to find your match! :kissing_closed_eyes:

@Scottish_cat_posse, Christmas housesits are a time of extreme excess demand. Many housesitters want to be with their own family. Many Pet Parents want to travel. for various reasons. So available housesitters get booked early. And Pet Parents face atypical competition - a good time to review profile, listing, dates, details to try and make opportunity appealing from perspective of prospective housesitter.
For context, we have already been approached by two Pet Parents in regards potential Christmas housesit for December 2025. Wow, that’s keen
I see that you already have a listing for xmas 2025 - 27 Nov to 27 Dec. Great that you’re organized so far in advance. Personally, I’d encourage reconsider end dates. Perhaps you’ll find perfect housesitter but travel (start or end date) between Christmas and New Year is not ideal as potentially poor weather and likely high travel costs. Not sure how many housesitters would want to spend part of Boxing Day packing up their stuff and. cleaning the property for your return.

Thanks to all who responded - we’ve got some lovely sitters, and what we are offering works well for them, so everyone’s happy. I can now relax into planning our trip, and our sitters have filled a month of their long-term travels. :slightly_smiling_face:
