@Brownsx4 Did you follow up with THS as to why your review was not posted? Seems odd. And especially relevent if the sitter is still on the site.

Factual reviews are crucial for all of us HOs out here considering sitters for future sit dates.

Bornsx4 - This is absolutely not right.
If a HO know this because of a doorbell camera system, send a note:
“Hi, Murgatroyd & Horacio, Hope all is well, thanks for the pix you sent of Boomer & Daisy. BTW, we noticed on our daily Door Bell Camera Report that, in addition to your friend Belle, a lot of people have been coming over. TBH we’re not comfortable with people we don’t know in our home while we’re gone. We know you will understand. See you soon.”
And of course immediately notify THS that their rules are being broken.
Your sitter told you this is her pattern so clearly she doesn’t care about THS rules: she needs to be booted.
If in a future sit this Sitter lets a friend-of-a-friend come by who steals something, breaks something, accidentally lets a pet out the door unnoticed?
Will THS take responsibility for allowing that Sitter to continue with this pattern?
This behavior should be in a review of this kind of Sitter so the Sitter understands this was not OK and - importantly - to warn other HOs.
A Sitter wanting to have guests needs to discuss with the HO who, for how long, etc.
IF the HO is OK (as you were) with a specific person for a specific time frame, that should be respected.
IF the HO says, “As long as you know them really well & trust them…” that’s very nice - but the implication is the Sitter is now responsible for everything.
Anything else is NOT acceptable and should be reported to THS who will hopefully note that about this person.

If you are HO you are doing a leap of faith with the Sitter.
It’s a lot to ask to do that with people at another remove.

Wow - I hadn’t seen your issues leaving a review when I wrote my note to you.
That said, there are glitches in every system. Yours & THS’s.
I hope this is resolved.
We have to state that I guess. I had a sitter do it and its quite scary to see a man run out of your home at midnight when the sit is a single woman. Leave nothing to common sense.
