Content creation & shares, comments etc are worth a lot of money to THS. Esp if amplified by 1000+ followers. Shameful that they’re wanting this for free rather than paying staff. I can’t find anywhere that says what the ‘rewards’ are. I don’t see this as a good deal for content creators!
I agree that homeowners won’t want their homes shared on social media, it’s bad enough that the website can be viewed when you’re not even logged in! Not security conscious.
All of the debate and conjecture could be resolved in a moment if an admin person popped in to explain “yes there is a waiver requiring homeowner permission“ or “there are certain things that are and aren’t allowed to be posted“.
I just got an email with the subject “your invitation is waiting“… Thought it was a pending sit invitation that I needed a few days to get back to them about. Turned out it was “Tailblazers” again.
I looked at the application form. One of the questions was “Why do you want to apply?“ I thought of applying and just putting “I don’t know, YOU invited ME.“
Am I the only one for whom the name conjures up the image of a housesit catastrophe, a dog with its butt on fire because it got its tail into the fireplace??
There is a middle age couple on here who does YouTube. He is a chef and has almost 500 subscribers but has been on for years so not that many views any longer. He films from their kitchen while traveling using this platform. I find it funny as so many don’t cook and the poor guy has to implement what I would call basic tools. He is very respectful and doesn’t film the pets or any part of the house, only the stove where he cooks and table where he prepares food. I actually found about this site when he mentioned it this way. He is from the US but travels outside the country on the episodes I saw.
Hello everyone!
Sorry I haven’t replied on this discussion again before now, but I have been reading your feedback, and I know the team have taken a look as well.
With regards to a waiver, I’ve asked the team for more info, and I’ll report back wherever possible.
Jenny
Hello!
Just popping back with an update…
MS have let me know that third party privacy is covered in the Tailblazer terms the members agree to:
“When posting on social media, you must NOT include: References to products/services from any other brands. Mentions, images, or references to any offensive, harmful, or illegal content. Degenerative comments towards competitors, employees, social personalities, or religious figures. Content that infringes on the intellectual property rights or privacy of any third party.”
MS are probably best placed to help for any more specifics on Trusted Tailblazers and how it works.

THS really needs to work on providing information. I’ve received this email a few times. I wouldn’t even consider joining because there is no way to get additional, much needed, information without clicking ‘join’ which just takes you to the page to provide your name, etc and sign up. I would never join anything without all the information I would want being available to me prior to clicking ‘join’.
Do you think an FAQ would be useful, @systaran? Happy to pass your feedback to the team.
FAQ would be useful, but is not sufficient on it’s own. There should be a link to a page that provides information about the program. What is it? What’s the benefit to THS (free advertising, obviously)? What’s the benefit to the sitter? There is a vague mention of rewards and perks. What are those and how would a member earn them (actual specifics)? What types of things would the member be expected to post? What is not allowed to be posted (the info provided above should be given to people before clicking the join button). How do you maintain membership? Is it forever? Do you have to post a certain number of social media posts? Can you quit at any time? How does THS know if a member posts on their social media (I’m assuming this would be how one earns the vague perks and rewards)? Does THS claim any rights to those posts? Are they going to pull members social media posts and use for THS purposes? This is all information that should be transparent prior to joining.
Thanks @systaran - I’ll pop that over to the team
Agree with @systaran 's comments… and there should be specifics on what TH defines as “infringes on the intellectual property rights or privacy”. I imagine people’s individual definitions of/feelings about this might differ. One person might be quite fine with you posting a photo of yourself with their pet and another might not even want their pet/“fur child”'s photo out somewhere on social media. A photo taken on the HO’s property? Again, some would be like “oh sure, I don’t mind” and others would be like “NO.”
But then, I’m not an “influencer” so what do I know
Thank you for this - happening to me too. I submitted a post on this topic as well.
I hear you @ABGM - I’ll pass your feedback over to the team
Can you please plan to share an email blast when the FAQ is ready? also, specifics on the rewards? and how do you specifically delineate between the different membership tiers?
