Solo Sitters-what's your most creative "free time" activity to ward off boredom between walking pups & cleaning litter boxes? (aside from scrolling)

Merci Beaucoup!

Another (definitely not ‘killing time’) activity, but a top-notch activity, is an online word-building game(s), similar to Scrabble, called ‘Words with Friends.’ Highly recommended. Warning … also highly addictive

I play LEXULOUS, the same, but different.

“Words with Friends” is definitely addictive @august

If anyone does cryptic crosswords, I strongly recommend you watch ‘Inside No. 9’, S03 E03 ‘Riddle of the Sphynx’. It’s a 30 minute stand-alone comedy, and (as with the rest of the series) a work of genius. The crossword used in the programme was used as that day’s Guardian (UK newspaper) crossword.

WARNING- it is dark humour (UK style) and there is a slightly gory moment in the last 10 minutes

For those in the UK or with a VPN it is available on BBC iPlayer

I just watched it on your recommendation. Wow, dark indeed, but I enjoyed it.

I have discovered ‘Paint by Numbers’ - it keeps me busy for ages, weeks on end, and you can’t really go wrong. It also travels/packs quite easily. Nearly done with the Japanese style one. And then Sudoku, love that too.

Most definitely YES! I sure do. I have a bag of them with me in my car, love to check out the ‘little library boxes’ in the neighborhoods, and just visited Powell’s Books in downtown Portland for the first time. If you ever doubt whether they’re still a thing or not, just go there. Oh my! 3 or 4 floors of every book you could imagine. And it’s famous to boot.
