Some sort of technical question

For the first time I have been invited to a sitting and tomorrow I am supposed to have an online call for another sitting, where some days would be in the same period as the first one.

I would accept the first sitting, but still would like to meet the second HOs to get to know them in case of a possible other sitting in the future as I often travel to this location.

I wonder if I accept the first sitting, would the second HOs be notified that I am no longer available during the time that I applied for?

I don’t have the answer to your technical question, just a suggestion re: the ‘etiquette’ of the situation: Since the call for the second sit is tomorrow, perhaps you can ask the first set of Hosts if it’s OK to wait to hit the “confirm” button for one day? You could tell them you’d already scheduled the call & feel it’s only polite to follow up with them before committing.

My thought is that the 2nd Host(s) may not appreciate you taking up their time if you’ve already just taken another sit, which could cause them to look at your future applications unfavorably. (But just my 2 cents.)

They will not be notified. But you can still chat with them after accepting first sit, explain situation to them, and suggest that you still chat, IF THEY WANT TO, with the possibility of sitting for them in the future.

@RedLassie An even better suggestion.

Everyone’s time is precious, especially at the weekend, so I would just be up front with the people that you have a call scheduled with. Let them know that you’ve accepted another sit which means that you won’t be able to sit for them this time, but that you’d still be interested in chatting at some point (no longer needs to be tomorrow) with a view to sitting for them in the future.

Thank you for the advice @Becca and yes, it makes sense.

It’s always good getting in here and have some wise direction.
I’ve just dropped them a message.
