Nice but is the kitchen well equipped, is the WiFi broadband, would there be a workspace for my remote work, are the neighbors nosy, are any of the puffins reactive or special needs and how far is it to the nearest coffee shop is all rather important. Oh and what size is the bed, is it firm, are the pillows foam or down fill and am I expected to wash the bedding on departure? Can we setup a video chat?
I stayed on Skomer for 3 nights for a photography trip. It was a brilliant experience and the puffins are amazing.
That sounds amazing – wish I could do it.
They will be inundated.
I’d SO be in if I could bring my cats……
And most importantly, is it suitable for my three very young children and will it be OK for my thirty-four relatives to visit, for several days at a time, sometimes together. PS One is a DJ, who will need to practise her set many, many times - at stadium volume.
I love puffins!

A visit to Skomer is on my To Do list. We have a regular Pembrokeshire housesit but one of the pets is a dog (not allowed on Skomer) and we never seem to have time before or after. I suspect the boats only run when the weather is playing ball so not easy to plan. It took us 6 housesits to manage to get to Caldey Island and that involved persuading a reluctant Viszla on to a small boat!
I read about tossing puffins a while back:
