THS Book Club: The Rest of Our Lives

Let’s meet to discuss The Rest of Our Lives by Ben Markovits on Wednesday the 11th of March.

The US turns their clocks ahead on the 8th so for those of us here, I’ve adjusted the time to be an hour later, so our UK/European members can meet at the “regular” time. See the table below for the time in your location. If this doesn’t work for you, please let me know so we can make changes.

I’ll post a reminder two days ahead and DM the Google Meet link to those who are interested in attending at that time. In the meantime, feel free to post any feedback or thoughts you may have about the book in this thread. :light_bulb: :thought_balloon: Happy Reading!

Thank you Maeve! Looking forward to it.

All,

So sorry for the inconvenience but I’m going to have to reschedule this meeting. A dear friend just passed away and the funeral is on Wednesday the 11th and I need to be there.

Would you be able to meet on Monday the 16th or Tuesday the 17th at the same time?

Again, so sorry to hear it, Maeve.

I can tentatively do the 16th but not the 17th, as I’m flying out that day. But please don’t let me be the stopper if that’s best for the majority.

Hi Maeve,

So sorry for your loss. I can do either the 16th or the 17th, so whichever works best for the group.

Thanks, Jess

I’m OK with both dates.

Sorry for your loss @Maeve . I think both dates are OK for me.

Thank you All, for your sympathy and your flexibility.

Let’s meet to discuss the book on Monday the 16th of March at the ususal UK/Europe time. Because the USA has adjusted their clocks forward, it will be an hour later for us. See the table below. I’ll send the Google Meet link on the 14th.

This is to let you know I’ve DM’d the Google Meet link for this Monday’s meeting.

Please let me know if you haven’t received it and would like to attend.

See you then!

Late to the club….Just finished and it was fabulous ! This from a dedicated NON-fiction reader.

I always take a gander at the Booker Prize nominees and every so often drop into the world of fiction. This and David Szalay’s Flesh (a BP winner) make me think that I ought to go to the “dark” side more often !

Unlikely that I can attend due to time restrictions but couldn’t resist throwing my opinion into the mix !
