Thanks, @hitchedandhiking.

I will be available on the 7th. I am not yet sure about the other dates.

Hi @hitchedandhiking ,

At present, I’m available on any of those dates. Thank you for setting this up.

At the moment I can probably do the Tuesdays or the Wednesday, but not the Thursday.

Hi

7th is best for me.

Thanks :+1:

I will likely not be available the 7th, but please do what works for the majority.

Thanks again for coordinating.

Hi @hitchedandhiking

I can’t do the 7th. We are traveling 14, 15 and 16 but I should be able to take a break to join the discussion if you schedule on any of those days.

Thanks!

Hi everyone!

After your responses, we’ll go with Tuesday 14th July for this book club meet :open_book:

Very much looking forward to this one. Please join us for the discussion and socialising - even if you never have before! The discussion is online :globe_with_meridians:

:double_exclamation_mark: If you will be joining us, please send me your email address via private direct message so I can send you the meeting invite. For those that joined last months’ meet for The Lion Women of Tehran, I’ve got your email addresses and will automatically invite you :smiley:

@Maeve @Newpetlover @Debbie @jimmysmum @MerryPuppins @Landbiscuit

I hope to make it but will be at a campsite then so it will depend on the signal!

Thanks Anna, hopefully you can make it :crossed_fingers:

I’ve got the book on Kindle (currently £0.99!) so will definitely read it in any case!

Oh wow, nice find. It’s showing $14.99 for the kindle version for me darnit!

I know, I checked prices in different countries, in Spain, it’s even more expensive: 23.50€. I’ve got the audio book, much cheaper but I fall sleep after a few minutes. :rofl:
Next week I’ll be driving to a sit in Portugal so I’ll have plenty of time to listen to it.

Also got it for 99p on Kindle unlimited - what a steal!

@Maeve @Debbie @jimmysmum @MerryPuppins @Landbiscuit @Newpetlover

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the book.

Unfortunately I won’t be able to host or attend the book club on Tuesday 14th July anymore as I have been invited to London for my naturalisation ceremony (I’ve been in the process of getting German citizenship for 2 years and it’s finally happened :partying_face: ). Sod’s law it’s taking place in London on the 14th of July.

I wondered if we can rearrange to one of the aforementioned dates:

  • Tuesday 7th July

  • Wednesday 15th July

  • Thursday 16th July

If we can’t rearrange, I wondered if anyone else would be up for hosting this time?

Many thanks in advance and apologies!
Jess

Ah…I’ve been thinking of getting my Austrian passport (my dad is Austrian but I was born in the UK) but the admin (and cost!) has been putting me off :woozy_face:

7th is best for me but I could possibly do the other dates but I won’t know til nearer the time.

Congratulations on your new citizenship!
The 7th works best for me. I will probably be able to make the other dates too but I’m not sure yet.

@hitchedandhiking ,

Warmest congratulations on your upcoming naturalisation. I’m available on all of those dates with a preference for the 7th or the 15th.

Congrats!

I may be traveling on the 7th…not finalized yet, but the other dates are free for sure. As always, please do as best for the majority & I’ll see if I can fit.

Best!

7th or 15th would be best for me
