“That rarest phenomenon: a war novel that feels at once timeless and precisely of the moment…” —Washington Post
A poignant coming-of-age story with the sensitivity and haunting power of What Belongs to You and Swimming in the Dark, about a young boy wrestling with his sexuality as war breaks out in modern Ukraine.

Very much looking forward to this one. Please join us for the discussion and socialising - even if you never have before! The discussion is online
If you will be joining us, please send me your email address via private direct message so I can send you the meeting invite. For those that joined last months’ meet for The Lion Women of Tehran, I’ve got your email addresses and will automatically invite you
I know, I checked prices in different countries, in Spain, it’s even more expensive: 23.50€. I’ve got the audio book, much cheaper but I fall sleep after a few minutes.
Next week I’ll be driving to a sit in Portugal so I’ll have plenty of time to listen to it.
