Seems like the wrong date cannot be fixed, but if you are getting closer to running out, and still have years of referral credits you need to message manually and they will adjust it.
It absolutely could be fixed. They just aren’t prioritising it which is a shame when you consider it’s a “loyalty” program.
How dare you be more loyal for more than 5 years… That’s disgusting haha ![]()
Just jumping back it on this topic. I just noticed that you don’t get an email anymore that xxxxx used your code to join THS. The months still show up in the referral page but no email. Another bug?
I thought the same, for a few days I wasn’t getting any referrals but now it’s happening normally again. What number do I have to chase now. I made it to 125 ![]()
I do, I’ve just had another email to say someone has just signed up using my code, and a one a couple of days ago too… but my end date has still remained the same grrrrrr (202 free months).
Thanks. Seems not to be consistent
Hmm, interesting. Cause I’ve referred quite a few people, and I have a hard time imagining that NONE of these joined THS. Some were very keen to join as they quite urgently needed a pet sitter solution and glad I gave them my referral code. But I’ve seen absolutely zero 2 months appear in my account in the past few years.
How do you do that??! My membership expires in October and to avoid the fees, I keep trying to get referrals for some extra months but despite very personal recommendations etc, for several years already, nothing ever seems to happen.
Again, what is your ‘winning strategy’ for getting people to sign up?
I’ve recommended many times personally (see post above) - nothing showing up in my account. I’ve tried Facebook groups and such. I’ve tried various other things. It seems nothing I do ever leads to extra months. And my renewal date is soon coming up -and I don’t want to pay the booking fees, after 11 years of membership - , so I’m trying to figure out ‘what else’ could I possibly do to get anyone to sign up via my code?!
I run a website. I don’t think there is a cookie that gets stored which means if someone doesn’t use your link specifically, then you miss out on the referral. So if you are telling people to sign up, tell them that they should sign up with your link for the 25% discount
Yes, I always give them my referral link - e.g. via Whatsapp and such - but that never seems to yield anything. And considering what’s mentioned above, it makes me wonder if some people DID sign up but that the credits just never arrived.
You can always ask. You would be suprised how many people will say they will sign up and then never follow through.
If any kind soul on here would like to do that for us, we’d be very appreciative. ![]()
I’ve popped you a DM xx
I guess we’ll have to tell our friends to send us screenshots of their membership acceptances with our codes. Not a great look, THS! “Oh, yeah, I highly endorse THS but they don’t follow their own rules, so please send me evidence or they will dupe me.”![]()
@Whirld-Traveller yeah, it was easy for me as I had only referred 3 friends/family members who all joined.
I think what happens is they have your link, but if they have a look, come back to it later they are often sent an email reminder with a generic THS 25% off code, and I suspect it is easy to use this which then bypasses the personal link.
Same for me, would be fabulous
- 11.5 years on THS and counting (albeit no free months)
@Bluehorse If using the website, click on the “2 free months” top right hand corner on your dashboard and you will then be able to see if anyone has joined using your referral code. Doesn’t sound like they have but at least you will know, not guess.
@Sam_F could you pass my name onto membership services too, I’ve had no response about this.
10 days ago I emailed @support@trustedhousesitters.com but I’m not even sure if that’s still manned nowadays. - Got no response
A few days later I spoke to Frankie who said someone would get back to me - heard nothing.
