For those who have been following the earlier discussion it seems THS have sorted the free months glitch and now the membership expiry date reflects the additional months. Weirdly I’m not receiving the ****** joined using your referral code emails though. I found out when reviewing my profile ![]()
Edit: Oops I might have misunderstood. I thought you were referring to the five year max but can’t delete my comment so will just edit it to this!
Yes it goes past the five years now automatically. At least it has on my dashboard.
Oh interesting. It doesn’t on mine yet. Neither the app (Android) nor the web version.
Ours is updated on the web version of you investigate our profile but not the app. #5050win
@Cuttlefish When I saw your hashtag- I initially thought you had reward months membership until the year 5050 !!! ![]()
It looks like they just toggled the auto renewal feature. I guess for people with more than 5 years it doesn’t matter if there is no auto renewal beause… That’s for later us haha
They are definitely going to make use of their THS in 3 thousand years. haha
It also turns out that the 80 months of referrals that shows on the website isn’t from now, but from when we first earned one, so we’re also capped at 5 years. Have been advised to turn off auto renewal so that more accrue (currently on December 2030) so we shall see. 50/50 turned out to be too good to be true! #closebutnocigar ![]()
@Cuttlefish was it membership services that said turn off autorenew? I’m in a similar position. 234 months accrued but only showing to mid 2018. They told me it would extend automatically, but Ive previously had to have the extension done manually. So a bit confused. It depends on who you talk to as to what story you get.
Yes I emailed them and it was @Therese that checked for me & advised to turn it off. We’ve had a couple of email exchanges & I’ve gone back a third time as realised the sums don’t work on the date calculations….#keepyouposted
UPDATE is that we now have referral credits on membership until May 2031 with a bit of jiggling, and our auto renewal is turned off so that anymore will automatically accrue. #referafriend
Good news. Can you update us if you receive emails when someone uses your referral? We are still getting months but no email. I don’t know we get them unless checking our profile.
We’ve never had a single email notifying us of any credits in 5+ years so if it starts I will surely let you know. #novelty
@Cuttlefish Great. When I get time, I’ll see if I can get our date pushed out. Do you remeber the name of the customer support officer. I find I get a different story, depending on who I chat to.
It was @Therese - not sure if it’s our Therese who’s also a mod on here, or another one but she was very thorough and helpful! #toptherese
Thanks so much for the feedback @Cuttlefish
we’re pleased to hear this!
The Forum team are always happy to help out wherever we can!
@Cuttlefish My next renewal is showing as November 28th 2031. This is more than 5 years away and I haven’t done a thing! I’d be loathe to take autorenewal off as I’m a Classic member on a historic price. Looks as if I don’t need to!
I am in a similar position @Debbie. I took off auto renewal anyway. By the time they need to take a payment my credit card will be well out of date anyway. Even though I won’t have to pay any booking fees (unless they change the rules), my next two sits are repeats off site with hosts who decided not to renew their memberships.
I found at one stage, that google pushed my emails directly into the bin folder, even though I didn’t set it that way, so check in there. if you find them in there, you need to change your filter settings.
Also, how many accounts in this thread are over 150-200 months of referrals?
