US entry update Dec 2, 2021

"By early next week, Canadians and all other foreign visitors who travel to the United States by air will need to get a COVID-19 test no later than the day before their departure.

U.S. President Joe Biden is slashing the current 72-hour testing window for fully vaccinated travellers as part of a suite of public health measures aimed at slowing the spread of the highly mutated Omicron variant."

That means that if you have travel plans to the US, you need to make sure your covid test is the day before you fly, not the 72 hours.

(This does not apply to the land border.)

Thank you for the update @Kelownagurl. That really is cutting it fine.

Yeah, it’s going to be interesting here. I’ve heard of some people not getting their tests back here in the 72 hour window. Companies will really have step it up here.

Wow, I’m due to fly to Texas after Christmas.

Check the full decision before you. Last I looked, it wasn’t posted yet, just the announcement. They suggested there will be more restrictions coming as well but I’m not sure yet.

Slightly more info here. It starts Dec 6, 2021.

Thank you, I will check daily.
