I will try to find if it is easy to stream No Activity in the UK. They are a very talented couple.
Last night I started to watch The Last Kingdom which seems to be quite entertaining but of course there is a lot of violence/fighting. The portrayal of KIng Alfred is interesting - not what I expected.
Also it was interesting for me to note that I had done cat sits in some of the towns mentioned, eg Winchester and Bury St Edmunds
Thanks for this recommendation. I had made a note of it when you mentioned it back in Feb. I am now starting S2. It is quite entertaining.
I canât say I am a big fan of King Alfred and the Saxons but I think it is the way they are presented in the show as scheming and cunning whereas the Danes/Vikings seem to be smart/intelligent and their values seem more admirable?
Thank you for sharing @cat.tails and a very happy 97th belated birthday to the living naturalist legend that is Sir David Attenborough who has made invaluable contributions to our understanding and appreciation of the natural world.
I think I watched aboutout half of ep 1 of The Diplomat a while ago - I found it hard to get used to Rufus Sewell with an American accent. Maybe I will try again sometime.
I watched Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story last week - it was quite entertaining. I thought that the way it dealt with George IIIâs illness was done in quite a sensitive and moving way.
I also started watching The Citadel but I didnât I last the whole of episode one so I canât actually recommend it. Ditto The Power on amazon prime.
I ended up watching some documentaries about Oasis and also about Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones as well as Merkel, The Mysterious Mr Lagerfeld, Fantastic Fungi (excellent), and The Elephant Whisperers (interesting but I always worry when I see humans riding on elephantsâ backs because I fear that they have been very cruel to the creatures in order to train them to be ridden).
I am looking forward to a new show on BBC called Ten Pound Poms which I think is starting tonight in the UK.
Just started watching âSweet Toothâ while on our trip in Ireland. Now that we are home, we hope to finish the first season and move onto Season 2. Quite interesting.
I found it very creative and insightful. A good mix of light hearted good stuff yet makes you think. Really enjoyed it and will see the upcoming third season.
We need some of your list! Loved Ted Lasso, Afterlife & Unbelievable. Daisy Jones & the Six is excellent and soâs The Serpent - looking at your list they might be a good fit
I started to watch a show on BBC iplayer. Itâs called Guilt and is set in Leith, Scotland. Very good, quirky, well acted and written. I am enjoying it so far, there are many unexpected twists and turns.
Also last week I watched a short series (6 episodes) on BBC called Am I Being Unreasonable? which I thought was excellent. Daisy May Cooper is brilliant - she is also very good in Rain Dogs.
Cannot recommend this flick enough!
If you are a traveler, full time sitter, wanna be or just need a good push over the edge.
Funny and fabulous.
Faraway on Netflix.
