You know what I REALLY want to see on THS? Automatic “reviews” like they have on Airbnb when a homeowner/sitter cancels a sit. Or some other way to see how often a sitter/homeowner cancels their sits.
I’ve heard from so many homeowners recently that they’ve been having sitter after sitter cancel on them for no good reason (because they found more desirable sits).
And if you look through the reviews on THS you can see a lot more lengthy, BAD reviews popping up as of late.
It’s frustrating for reliable sitters to lose out on sits to people who won’t think twice about cancelling and frustrating for owners who get their plans turned upside down by these repeat offenders
I know, that’s why I’d like to see it added as a feature! It’d be nice when looking at reviews to maybe have a tab of “cancelled sits” to give an idea if the homeowner or sitter has a pattern of bailing on sits!
still the only thing I woud like to see is what I posted on 12 May this year:
I would like to have an option to select EUROPE for saved searches on both the app and the website. It was possible on the website up till about a month ago but it has been removed. Please bring it back and you may as well put it on the app as well
i don’t know if ever suggested/discussed, but the ability to hide sits in search results. a sit i had a horrible experience at in the summer has just posted new dates and it’s bobbing back to the top of the listings quite a lot and it’s not pleasant to see it! we probably all have this problem from time to time…
Last minute sits appearing at the top when you filter new sits.
Some are appearing on page 17+ of my search.
I am a sitter but surely it would be an advantage for sitters and homeowners.
Yes! Can we please be more specific about the location of the sit! San Diego… where in San Diego? Cities are very large and your home could be literally anywhere. My favorite is when they say 50 miles north of LA- Are you not able to put your city/cross-streets in the description? All of these previous replies had some good tips.
@Daisy999 - it has been requested numerous times. We can flag posts on the forum but not listings. Shouldn’t be that difficult. It would save work for the checkers.
If a new listing can be amended after authorisation then a flag makes sense.
Things that are broken that your developers should spend a few minutes on:
Ability to see favourites on the website, that doesn’t just take me to the conversations I’ve had with the owners, I’d like to just see the listing grid of my favourites the way I can do in the app.
Fix the issue on the grid where you can’t read long post titles that exceed the character width limit and are currently truncated. Easy workaround is just add a style that allows overflow and scrolling, not ideal but it works.
Please, Please, Please allow for a search by the sitter that filters out ‘requires a car’. It’s a flag in your database, it’s a simple thing to implement.
I think it’s already been said (maybe by me but I can’t find it) -
a filter for “NON SMOKING HOMES”
No point in wasting anyone’s time applying for a sit where HO’s are smokers or allow smoking (inside or out - I don’t care - if someone smoke even outside, I’ll smell it)
This would be a great feature. What I think would help a lot would be if we could somehow cross-reference the sitters and the homeowners who favor each other. Right now, there’s really no way to tell…
