I thought it was only good for your health when you drank it not when you were getting stung !!

Lovely photo! I had a similar experience with a footpath this morning. No nettles thankfully and I was wearing long trousers and socks, but my trousers were totally wet afterwards.
(I am also in semi rural England. It’s a small town and very pretty.)
After 16 months of full-time housesitting, we’ve completed 36 sits (29 via THS, 7 on another platform) and have encountered problem issues (less than clean homes) on 3 and niggles (undisclosed pet issues) on 2 - one of which was also one of the mucky homes. There were still plenty of positives on these sits.
We’ve had to cancel 3 sits before they commenced, 2 due to pet behaviours which were not disclosed in the listings but evident on receipt of the welcome guides, and 1 where we found the ancient Aga was pumping noxious fumes into the property upon our arrival, so it was unsafe to stay.
The vast majority of our sits have been great, some have been fabulous. We’ve been privileged to stay in some stunning homes, have met interesting, warm and generous people and have loved spending time with pets who are absolute darlings, easy to love and a joy to care for. We’ve visted areas we’ve never seen before and we feel we’re on a bit of an adventure.
