Who is on a house sit just now? How's it going?

@LifeByMissAdventure Are you near Athlone?

I am indeed! Have you also sat for this lovely lot before?

I think it might be the same place.

It was 3 horses, 2 donkeys and a cat, but that was over 2 years ago.

We finished a regular repeat sit in Pembrokeshire yesterday. As a Hungarian Vizsla, Celt is fairly big and bouncy, but he loves nothing more than an even bigger, and ideally hairy or fluffy dog to play with. Either that or a sight hound to try to keep up with. As soon as we saw this gorgeous dog on the beach, we knew Celt would want to play. He really does look small in comparison!

On a replacement sit in LA. Had a repeat cat sit cancel and found another cat sit for the same dates. Very different house, but similar experience. Grapefruit tree in the backyard. Went for a walk thrifting, 2 goodwill stores in the hood and we got 2 bags of free fresh veggies at one place. We were looking for an over the sink shelf as my daughter moves into her grad apt at USC on Sunday.

I’m cat sitting this little guy in downtown Dubai with a nice view of the Burj Khalifa. He’s 9 months old and cute as a button. I started the sit today so we are still getting acclimated. I can’t wait to pick him up and give him loads of snuggles :smiling_cat_with_heart_eyes::heart:

Burj Khalifa? That’s a tall order! Hope it’s not too hot to explore. We worked there as teachers but escaped in the summer holidays to Spain where we were appointed from.

@Highfive it’s burning hot and humid. I explore a bit find a cafe to take in some cool air then explore a bit more.

We did 6 years hard labour but as it was tax free it paid off! I couldn’t live the full year there! The boys would play football with no shade at lunchtime! We enjoyed the iced cooled pools though and warmed up

In the winter, remember swimming under the stars at Christmas!

The shopping is good! Enjoy!

One of my all-time favourite sits (yes, that is how we spell favourite in Canada). Margaret snuggling with me and Audrey knocking over a bowl of fruit. But look closely … Audrey was after a bug!

I am on my 40th sit (my 39th via THS) on the island of Easdale, near Oban, west coast of Scotland, with a gorgeous dog, an Irish Doodle (Red Setter/Poodle)

The island is famous for producing Slate. slogan “the island that roofed the world”, Milan Cathedral being one of the many buildings with Easdale Slates on the roof.

Also famous for the annual World Stone Skimming Championships.

There are no roads here, no cars. My car is on the mainland a 3 minute boat ride away. Population 60 people! Everybody knows the dog.

Joined by my friend and new THS member Irene, her 5th joint sit with me, We had to wheelbarrow our luggage and groceries to the house.

What an incredible sit location! I’m not sure about the wheelbarrow, but I think for the location I would probably deal with it! How long are you there for?

8 days. Then my friend and I have a 4 day hotel stay at Portsonochan, Loch Awe.

Lovely photos! What a beautiful dog not too big not too small ! Lovely to chat on zoom

On Sunday! I’m at my new sit in Stow with Sable. Lovely socialized dog and well behaved! A real treat! I’m in a retirement village with some organised activities for groups that start at 11.00 am! Plenty of time to relax in peace and quiet but near the busy town of Stow and on a bus route to Moreton In Marsh, Chipping Norton, Bourton on the Water and Cheltenham .

I’m here for 51 days as the American owner has to go to the States for knee surgery and physio etc.

Parking would be a bit stressful lol! Very happy to be jumping on and off buses as it’s crazy busy! Haven’t spotted the Vance mobile yet but hear that is a monster! Ha ha!

It’s lovely being able to retreat to shade and quiet here. I take the dog out early and late. Also one can walk around the grounds here, which are lovely.

So glad the dog I look after here is now post trim! This morning I came across a massive NewFoundland dog with thick dark coat! He was so beautiful but moving slowly! Theowner said,” we only get things done early morning! “

With so many poodle mixes the Grooming must be booming! This small dog had a bill for wash, shampoo and trim costing £70.00.

The owner is away for 51 days and wanted to book the dog in for when she’s back as there is big demand at the Grooming parlour.

He is quite startlingly bright in the sunshine now! I often get stopped and people want a cuddle .. with the dog ,of course!
