Who’s the Goodest Dog You Know This International Dog Day?

Hello everyone!

It’s International Dog Day 2025, and I wanted to give a huge shout-out to all the wonderful pet owners who provide their dogs with loving homes, and to the amazing sitters who love those dogs like their own.

I’d like to invite you all to share a photo of a dog that’s special to you, whether it’s yours or a friend you’ve made on your sitting journey, and feel free to share some words about them as well!

This is my Bernard. He is the sweetest love bug. He’s home recovering from a dental procedure yesterday

Zorro who I’ve now been walking on Borrowmydoggy for 8 years…every Friday when I’m at home I pick him up 9.30am and off we go for a day’s adventure in the hills or along the coast. He’s my heart dog always will be. We no longer manage 15 mile hikes as we’re both ageing so 6 miles is plenty now.

George, a EURASIAN, cross between Chow Chow and European Spitz, just the most beautiful dog I have ever seen, and a lovely gentle soul too. Look at that Drumstick lolly tongue.

I feel privileged that I had the chance to sit for him.

Enzo is a border terrier whom I’ve repeat sat. I’d clone him if possible, because he’s such a sweet, social, easygoing guy.

He gets along with everyone, including kids and other dogs, even crowds. We went exploring all over, including taking a hop on, hop off tour bus, a sightseeing cruise boat, a Ferris wheel. We also attended dragon boat festivities, an Indian New Year’s celebration and more.

Everywhere he went, he made friends. He also was great at scoring treats, so he’d want to visit all the shops and restaurants he’d been to previously, where they’d treated him.

He was energized by people and outings, but when home, he slept a bunch as an older dog.

I bought him toys and he seemed to especially enjoy ripping them to shreds. Such a fun, easy to love boy.
