Noelene in Tasmania
Definitely go here it’s a wonder of the world
It’s more than a museum though it’s an intellectual and visceral experience ……
It’s hard to describe; it’s mostly underground experience/gallery tunnel/rooms that are cut out of the Earth as the owner has been tunnelling for years ….
Definitely book to go to the restaurant (not the cafe) and you’ll get strange ‘experiences’ in between the main courses….
Arrive by ferry across the Lake if you can.
@Noelene - years ago I took a truffle tour in Prague - was a great afternoon. https://praguetruffle.com - was much simpler back then - now I think it is a business.
@BonnyinBrighton - MONA is a great experience and the ferry is definitely the way to get there. Me and a cow on the ferry to MONA.
@Noelene “Doug”, what a great name for a truffle dog!
@Noelene while you’re in the north of Tassie go and try some of the best sparkling wine in the world at the Tamar Valley wineries around Launceston (or Lonnie as we call it), it’s beating French champagne in blind tastings at international wine shows! Pirie is exceptional (their 2011 vintage sparkling was named best in the world in 2023)
Already told you all about my sit in Winston-Salem, NC. It ended today but had to add this photo of Buckeye, the lab X. I was watching the new Apple TV detective series - Sugar. There is a dog named Wiley who is a recurring character.
So last night, as I was watching, Buckeye sitting next to me on the couch saw
Wiley on TV and responded –
This happened once before with Flynn in Hayes, UK but he got very excited when he saw a cat on the TV. And I didn’t have a camera handy.
Repeat sit with Clyde, the curly-coated retriever, in Mill Valley, CA. It does not get much better than this! Gorgeous home, area, and dog!
I’m currently on a wondeful sit in Overton Hampshire with three gorgeous Birman Kitties, Rafferty, Hudson and Queen Orla aka Orlita. I’m enjoying a beautiful view on the river nest, a charming large village walking distance and a cozy home.
Today is the last day for this local weekend sit with a sweet boy kitty in a great coastal area of New England and a great home host!
This is my best selfie for this coastal sit!
I’m going to add kitty hand pillow to my profile skills!
Return sit with Rucca and Fionna in Warrenton, VA - horse country. First sit was a long weekend and not very nice weather. Back for 10 days and so far the weather is beautiful. Rucca is aging, but still getting around although she has lost weight since last time.
Fiona is doing well.
We have owned our own rabbits in the past but this is a first for a THS sit . This is Austin one of 4 house bunnies we are taking care of this weekend.
Morning coffee in the sunshine with Mocha, one if two dogs we are looking after in West Berkshire, UK
We are on house sit number 5 for us. The previous 4 were 1 week long give or take to help build up our reviews etc. This is a 1 month sit in England with 2 beautiful Bengal cats Monty is 12 and tan and Lily is 1 and grey. They are amazing and it’s in a beautiful area. The house is wonderful as is the owner.
We have a 6 week sit lined up afterwards 30 minutes away.
And we are fully booked up until February next year with sits in Germany, Scotland and the USA. We are so happy and thankful we found this amazing platform.
Oh that’s so nice! We used to have a free roam netherland dwarf bunny! So fun
